"When do you open for the season? "
We keep an eye on the weather, and try to open by the end of April.
"When do you close for the season? "
We usually close the 30th of October.
" How many cows do you have?"
Ferris Acres Farm is home to about 85 cows. We milk our cows twice a day, and we have many young calves, and heifers.
"Do you sell your ice cream in large quantities?"
Yes, we also sell our ice cream in 2.5 gallon tubs. Please call the shop at 203-426-8803 for pricing.
"Are you hiring?"
Yes! We are on the lookout for a few new employees for the 2012 ice cream season. You must be at least 16 to apply.
Employees must be available from April through the end of October, so if you are a sophomore or a junior...take note!!

"Can I suggest a flavor?"
Please do!! Some of our flavors came from customers ideas. ( For example : Campfire, Razzamatazz, Moondance, and Chocolate with Peanut Butter Swirls )
"Can I get your ice cream anywhere else?"
Yes!!
Sal e Pepe Restaurant and Bar offers our vanilla ice cream. They are located at 97 South Main Street in Newtown.
Tambascio's Italian Grill sells a flavor that we make exclusively for them. It is a dark chocolate orange ice cream, and it is simply delicious. They also offer a delicious peanut butter cup ice cream. You can find them at 1 Dodgingtown Road in Newtown.
Villarina's Pasta Shop - in Southbury and in New Milford carry a large variety of our flavors. Check out their website for their locations!
